From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-5) Incident occured during commercial pilot certification test being conducted at Oakland international airport by FAA inspector tyrone park from san diego FSDO, WP-09. During a single engine go-around the pilot pitched the nose down and added full power to the failed engine and struck the ground. The gear was sheared, both engines sustained sudden stoppage, the left propeller was broken approximately one third up on one blade, the other prop had a nick on one blade and various holes were noted primarily in the gondola. I discussed the damage with Mr. Jim thiele, president of American blimp corporation, the manufacturer of the airship. Based upon this conversation and other information r considered minor.
