From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During landing roll under heavy braking there was a loss of braking on the right hand side, differential power application failed to correct the drift to the left. The aircraft departed the runway where the nose landing gear contacted a tree stump and subsequently collapsed. (.4) during landing, the right brake seal failed on the experimental category, ex-military airplane. The airplane departed the left side of the 3,700 feet long by 75 feet wide gravel runway. The right brake system had been overhauled, and the right brake seal replaced, 15 hours prior to the accident.
