From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft touched down approximately 1200 feet from the threshold of runway 18. privacy data omitted The aircraft main gear skid marks continued towards the left side of the runway, in a scuffing manner, for approximately another 100 feet. privacy data omitted When the aircraft departed the runway, it continued for approximately 615 feet in a fairly soft grassy terrain before the nose wheel contacted a shallow ditch. At this point the nose gear collapsed towards the rear of the aircraft. The aircraft came to rest approximately 25 feet beyond the ditch in the same heading of the intended runway. Damage to the aircraft was limited to the nose gear, exhaust pipe, nose geardoors, lower engine cowling and propell er. privacy data omitted Due to the unexplained circumstances that surround this incident, privacy data omitted the local flight standards district office received a call fro m the NTSB with additional information. On several other occasions there have been accidents/incidents that meet the same criteria. privacy data omitted The NTSB sent several pieces of documentation that match this criteria for the same make and model of aircraft. Due to this additional information, the owner and the proposed repair facility were notified and asked to make the local FSDO aware when repairs begin on this aircraft. Inspectors from the local FSDO will assist in trying to determine if there is a component or function of a component that could attribute to the likeness of these incidents.

As the FAA filed it

THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN APPROXIMATELY 1200 FEET FROM THE THRESHOLD OF RUNWAY 18. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THE AIRCRAFT MAIN GEAR SKID MARKS CONTINUED TOWARDS THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, IN A SCUFFING MANNER, FOR APPROXIMATELY ANOTHER 100 FEET. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WHEN THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY, IT CONTINUED FOR APPROXIMATELY 615 FEET IN A FAIRLY SOFT GRASSY TERRAIN BEFORE THE NOSE WHEEL CONTACTED A SHALLOW DITCH. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ DUE TO THE UNEXPLAINED CIRCUMSTANCES THAT SURROUND THIS INCIDENT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THE LOCAL FLIGHT STANDARDS DISTRICT OFFICE RECEIVED A CALL FRO M THE NTSB WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. ON SEVERAL OTHER OCCASIONS THERE HAVE BEEN ACCIDENTS/INCIDENTS THAT MEET THE SAME CRITERIA. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THE NTSB SENT SEVERAL PIECES OF DOCUMENTATION THAT MATCH THIS CRITERIA FOR THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL OF AIRCRAFT.
