What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Flight instructor conducting dual instruction alnded the a/c on runway 26R at Spirit of st. Louis airport (sus). As he applied brakes to slow down and turn left onto a taxiway, the right brake pedal was ineffective in applying the right brake, the a/c subsequently veering left and contacting the left main gear on a snowbank on the left side of the runway just short of the intended taxiway. Damage resulted from the right wingtip striking the ground as the a/c came to a stop with the left main gear stuck in the snowbank. The pilot indicated that the right brake pedal did not have the usual resistance associated with a properly functioning brake system. Subsequentinspection by a company mechanic confirmed"..that the right brake pedal was flat.." Per the mechanics statement.
