From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Attached letter from pilot jesse loffer states following description: takeoff at Gladewater runway 13. After normal runup and liftoff, at about 20-30 ft. above the runway, the aircraft would not climb, I leveled out, the aircraft would not accelerate. I had a highway and trees straight ahead and not enough runway to safely land so I turned 90 degrees to the right to land on the grass. Partway through the roll out the aircraft went over dirt extension of runway 17 which blew the left main tire and put the airplane on its back. Damage due to incident: top of rudder, top skins of wingtips, left wing struts, prop. Pilot: no injuries. No passengers.
