From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After take-off the abovementioned aircraft returned to Palm Springs Regional Airport. This turn back was initiated due to an instrument fire warning indication on number two engine. Number one fire bottle was activated by the pilot in command to extinguish fire, with no positive results. Number two fire bottle was also activated with the same results. After landing safely, further investigation revealed that a fire never existed and this situation was an indication problem only. Malfunction or defect reports were submitted by garret aviation.
