From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was making touch and go landing and stalled. (-23) after returning from the practice area the student pilot elected to practice landings. The first landing was made on runway 17 and upon the application of power to complete the touch and go the aircraft went to the left and departed the runway. One runway edge light was impacted and bent over. The aircraft had rolled an estimated 150 yards before stopping in the grassy area between the runway and the taxiway. The nose wheel had been sheared off and there was skin damage to the underside of the nose cowling. The firewall appeared to be intact although the rivet holes where the nose gear attached were enlarged.
