From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) After landing the pilot received progessive taxi instruction to his choice of FBO from the FAA tower. He made the right turn to taxiway s at the S-3 intersection and traveled approximately 40 yards northwest bound coming to rest in the grass merian west of taxiway s with the aircraft's left wing over the orange plastic construction fence. Damage to the aicraft caused by the steel posts which hold up the organe fnece resulted in two dents in the left lending edge, scraps and gouges in the uderside of the wing skin and two gashed in the left aileron one of which penetrated to upper surface of the aileron . Contributing to this incident was the fact that the taxi/landing lights were inoperative. Due to non availability of a tug from the FBO at that time of night(about midnight) the pilot attempted to taxi the aircraft back on to the taxiway which resulted in the propeller striking the asphalt edge when the small nose wheel would not move over 6 inches differnence between the taxiway and the grass area. Prop suffered 1/4 inch loss on each blade.

As the FAA filed it
