From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) After a normal landing at the cmh airport on runway 28L, aircraft N3597G continued to roll down the runway after touchdown. ATC instructed the pilot to turn off at the C4 intersection. The PIC and check airman statements explained how the PIC applied light braking to further slow the airplane for the turn at C4. They both agreed, that the gear did not collapse until the brakes were applied. Damage was limited to the right main gear, wing tip, propeller, and elevator stabilizer. The right main gear indicates the upper bellcrank attachment bolt sheared off one of the strut housing attachment ears. Also, the rod end sheared off below the lower side brace lock assembly, allowing the gear to collapse. It was noted during the inspection of the gear, the failed components showed no signs of previous damage. A 100 hour inspection had been completed on the aircraft the same day as the incident. Review of the inspection showed no maintenance had been performed on the landing gear other than lubrication.

As the FAA filed it
