From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During climb out pilot noted a bleed air pressurization duct split. The difference eventually got to 40 PSI and at that point during climb out, the pilot elected to return due to lack of maintenance at the next station. The aircraft landed without incident at mci and was turned over to maintenance. It was determined that a high stage regulator was faulty in addition to a cracked bleed duct. After replacement of both parts, the a/c was operated from mci on a test flight to confirm repair. The a/c was returned to service upon its return to mci. With this report incident #CE99IAC0082 is considered closed.
