From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

This flight departed burlington, Vermont (btv) airport as an on demand FAR part 135 flight with one passenger. While on approach to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Middletown airport (MDT), the landing gear was lowered and the right main gear indicated unsafe. The pilot attempted to recycle the gear and no "safe" indication was noted. The pilot called his maintenance base and discussed the situation with his maintenance and it was decided to "fly-by" the tower to ascertain if the gear was down. The pilot called for the crash/fire/rescue (CFR) and a normal landing was made. The aircraft was inspected and a faulty gear downlock switch and bracket was found. These items were replaced. This incident is closed.
