From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Mr. Foster stated he made a normal landing and had rolled approx. 600 feet when the nosegear collapsed followed shortly by the right main gear. This is consistent with observations of tower personal at Poughkeepsie. Mr. Foster didn't recall what happened between touchdown and the gear collapsing, however his procedure is to retract the flaps immediately after touchdown. He said it was possible that he retracted the gear instead of the flaps. Teterboro maintenance personnel tested the landing gear retraction system 5 times in the normal operations and twice in emergency free fall. In each case the gear came down and locked psitively. The gear electrica system switches operated normally indicating the system was operating properly on landing.

As the FAA filed it
