From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot stated he was taxiing back after landing, hit a hole, gunned the power and flipped over. The land owner stated to the Maryland state police he saw the a/c attempt to land. The plane was leaning to the left, and it did a nose dive. The land owner stated to FAA inspectors that he thinks the pilot got on the brakes too hard after landing and flipped the a/c over. A gravel road crosses the runway at mipoint at 90 degrees. There were tire tracks across the road and the tracks indicate the tires were skidding in the direction of landing. The tire tracks continue to where the a/c stopped inverted. The a/c was eventually righted and towed off the runway.
