From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On a training flight conducted on 10/10/99, during taxi training, the student, tim smith was taxiing under half throttle in a right turn on the parallel taxiway at Greenville Majors Airport. The trainee had not added sufficient throttle to push the tail back to the left. He applied the brakes to avoid running off the taxiway before moving the throttle to idle power. The flight instructor did not have adequate time to correct the action before the aircraft nosed over. The wooden prop was destroyed, instructor and student were not injured.
