From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) As reported by the pilot, while on final approach to North Platte regional airport, runway 12, at approx. 3 feet AGL., and 55 to 60 mph IAS, the a/c weathervaned to the right. Pilot applied left rudder and added power to realign with the runway, the a/c rotated about its longitudinal axis and the left wingtip struck the ground. The resulting drag caused the a/c to rotate about its vertical axis and the propeller and spinner struck the ground. The a/c cartwheeled and finally came to rest upright.
