From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During takeoff roll, at approx. 100 KIAS, a deer ran across the runway and was struck by the left main gear. The crew rejected takeoff and stopped on the runway. A small brake fire on the left side ensued due to hydraulic line damage and brake heat. The fire was extinguished by the flight crew with a handheld extinguisher. Aircraft was disabled on the runway until tires and brakes were replaced. Deer entering airport property, according to local operators, have been a problem in the past.
