From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At approx. 1700 hours local PST on 11/23/99 Cessna aircraft N310AB pilot thomas ford reported to sna ATC that his right main gear down-and-locked light had not come on after gear extension. Mr. Ford accomplished low approach with all three gear appearing to ATC to be down. Mr. Ford elected to leave sna operational area and conducted emergency procedures. Pilot reported to this inspector that he attempted gear retraction and re-extension, and attempted manual extension, but right light would not come on. A second low approach was flown and again the three gear appeared to be down to observers on the ground. During landing rollout, right gear collapsed when normal weight distribution took place. Subsequent inspection of the right gear revealed the gear downlock bellcrank was bent slightly aft, all other components appeared to be intact. Conversation with aircraft mechanic eric rhoads revealed the same findings. Gear swing is to be accomplished upon release from insurance company with m or d to be done by Mr. Rhoads.
