From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23)While in cruise flight the pilot noticed that the left engine oil pressure was reading about 10-15 PSI lower than that of the right engine. The pilot checked the oil pressure gage and recycled the oil pressure circuit breaker. The engine oil pressure continued to decrease, illuminating the oil pressure warning light. The pilot then shut down the left engine and elected to land at the nearby pittsburhg international airport. The aircraft was totally shut down after landing and towed to the ramp. On examination, maintenance personnel dicovered that the seal on the oil transfer line had leaked, causing an oil loss and resulting oil pressure drop.

As the FAA filed it
