From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot in command, who is a commerical rated flight instructor was flying his personal airpalne and giving dual instructions to his wife, a student pilot, who occupied the forward seat. After completing a stall series and on their way back to the Mount Comfort Airport, the PIC elected to simulate an engine failure. His wife ran through the emergency checklists and proceeded to set up on a field. The maneuver started at 3000 feet MSL. When the PIC saw that his wife had the field made at 600 feet AGL he told her to go around. When his wife applied full power, the engine quit. The PIC assumed control of the aircraft and made a successful landing in the field. There was no damage to the aircraft, the occupants fo the field. The PIC suspects carbuetor ice. The local weather at Indianapolis international airport was listed at 1656 local, wind 2012, visibility 10 miles, clear skies, temperature -03C, dewpoint -11C, altimeter 3028.
