From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The aircraft circled sus airport but was not in radio contact with ATC (the aircraft was observed on d-brite radar and the ATC was receiving a transponder signal). ATC gave a green light to land. The aircraft landed on runway 26L. During the roll-out the landing gear collapsed. The pilot was Mr. Kevin cullinan, he was the only one on board and was not injured. According to Mr. Cullinan's account of the incident, during his approach he observed 3 green lights, no red and heard no warning horn. He stated he touched down in a crab due to a slight cross-wind. No mechanical cause for the collapse of the landing gear could be determined. privacy data omitted
