From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At 1600 hours zulu at flight level 390 the pilot radioed that there was smoke in the cockpit and he needed to descent immediately. The pilot then proceeded to the closest airport which was Dubuque regional at Dubuque, Iowa. The pilot noted that the smoke was emanating from the right side of the center pedestal so he isolated the right bus and the smoke started to dissipate. The pilot stated he informed approach control that the smoke was clearing from the cockpit and then continued to land for precautionary reasons. The aircraft was landed without further incident and sustained no damage. Iceo 120000009.
