From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot departed Boeing field, Seattle, WA, on an IFR flight plan enroute to pullman, WA. Within a few minutes after takeoff, there was a failue of the aircraft's electrical system. The pilot had not turned off the starters. Thus, the generators would not come on line when he selected them to the "on" positon. The pilot flew east of the airport while troubleshooting the aircraft systems. He then lowered the gear manually, but failed to completely lock it into place. When he returned for landing, the pilot made a normal, no flap landing. During rollout the nose gear collapsed.
