From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23)Pilot was making touch and go landing at the Waterloo airport (alo). On touch down the landing gear collapsed. Pilot stated he did not secure the aircraft manual landing gear in the down position and did not visually check that the landing gear was down and locked prior to landing. This particular aircraft is equipped with a hand operated mechanical landing gear. The landing gear system requires special attention to assure its level is secured in the latched position. The landing gear lever must be in the latched position before the green indicator light will activate.
