From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23)Witnesses stated that privacy data omitted was taxing his gyrocopter down the runway when the aircraft rolled on its side. The main rotor struck the ground causing minor damage. privacy data omitted Stated to me that while he was taxing about 10 mph, he applied the brakes and the left brake grabbed causing the craft to swerve and tip over. He states that the rotor blade was turning about 35 RPM when it struck the groud. privacy data omitted Stated to me on the phone that he intends to fix the brake problem himself. I ask him if he currently holds either a pilot certificate or an A&P certificate. He stated that he holds neither.
