From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) A/c had experienced a gear up landing prior to this incident and had just been returned to service. This was the first maintenance check flight and first landing since being repaired. Logbooks reflect the necessary retraction tests, and the pilot claims to have cycled the gear successfully in the air six times before landing. He claims to have checked for three green lights and also visually. After touchdown he felt the nose gear folding as the nose lowered. Inspector weston checked a/c and records. Airworthiness personnel conducted an investigation into the maintenance facility and practices.
