From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) This was the first flight of this homebuilt aircraft. The pilot took off from the Lakeville airport and climbed to approximately 3000 ft. at this altitude he performed different manuevers to make sure all controls were functioning properly. After being satisfied that the aircraft was performing as planned he made his first attempt at landing. During the approach to the runway the aircraft sink rate was faster then he expected and the aircraft landed short. The aircraft struck the 1200 ft. malsr tower and also the 600 ft malsr tower. The aircraft veered to the right side of the runway and struck two taxi lights. The pilot brought the aircraft to a halt and taxied off the runway and back to his hangar.
