(-23) On 1/10/01, N9988L, a grumann AA1-B training flight lost power due to fuel depletion. A/c crashed 1 mile from the Cottage Grove airport (61C), Oregon. The student pilot Douglas smith and his flight instructor both received serious injuries and the a/c was destroyed by impact forces.
