From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Slat disagree light illuminated along with autoslat fail light when the flaps were extended from 11 degrees to 15 degrees. Abnormal procedures were accomplished and an emergency was declared due to higher than normal touchdown speed. The flap handle position transmitter was adjusted and an operational check was accomplished. This was the second discrepancy of this type within the past month. On 1/27/01, the a/c suffered an "auto slat fail light comes on when the flaps were selected to 15 degrees. It goes out when flap handle is jiggled". The #2 stall warning computer was replaced and the #1 (l/h) angle of attack vane was replaced per the arm.
