From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Post incident examination of the a/c noted that the landing gear operating handle was found in up position and the flap handle was found in the down position. Propeller strikes occurred after approx. 650 feet of roll out on sod runway. Pilot does not remember the attempt to retract the flaps but normally does so on roll out. Pilot concurs that the probable cause of the nose wheel collapse was his inadvertent retraction of the landing gear. The main gear remained locked down and the a/c was inspected prior to removal from the runway.
