From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On June 30, 2001, at 0845 EDT, a baby ace, experimental amateur built aircraft, N460BW, registered to ralph's flying service, lost power on takeoff and made an emergency landing at the Little River Airport, Mcalpin, Florida, while on a local pleasure flight. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time and no flight plan was filed. The aircraft sustained minor damage and the private pilot sustained minor injuries. The flight originated at Mcalpin, Florida on June 30, 2001, at 0825 hours. The engine, a Continental 65, had been modified with larger pistons and cylinders to increase the horsepower to approximately 80. A three-bladed composite "warp drive" prop was installed. A 12 gallon fuel tank, mounted in the fuselage, supplied fuel to the carburetor through an electric fuel pump. Auto fuel was used along with aviation fuel. The impact broke off the carburetor, fuel gascolator, and oil tank and subsequently drained all fuel from the aircraft and all oil from the engine. The amount of fuel on board the aircraft at the time of the incident could not be determined.
