From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During the takeoff roll the pilot reports that the aircraft yoke began pitching nose down. She reached down and began to re-trim the elevator when the aircraft lifted off. At the same time she noticed that the autopilot was engaged, she depressed the disengage switch and the controls were immediately released. She then pulled the throttle and mixture to idle cutoff and the aircraft descended abruptly about 5 feet and bounced. The aircraft came back up into the air and upon settling down came to rest on a gravel road parallel to the runway.
