From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At approx 3 pm CDT I received an IFR weather briefing for a flight from urbana IL (C16) to Washington island, WI (2P2). Departed at approx 4:30 pm. Northeast of rockford, IL, we encountered brief, but severe, turbulence. IFR was cancelled 10 miles south of 2P2. On entering the pattern, gear down switch caused the gear actuator circuit breaker to blow and gear unsafe light remained on. Gear would neither extend or retract. Emergency gear extension checklist was followed, grank turned, but gear unsafe light remained on. I proceeded to sturgeon bay (sue) VFR, where a low pass allowed ground personnel to verify gear partially extended. Then proceeded to Green Bay for belly landing. Proceeded to execute belly landing on rw 18, and exited the aircraft with passengers. There were no injuries.
