From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The aircraft operated by aeromap us inc. was enroute from deadhorse, AK (pasc) to merrill field, AK (pamr) in cruise configuration at FL230 when the commercial rated pilot noted a vibration or shudder which seemed to be coming from the rear of the aircraft and could be felt in the controls. The vibration stopped as the aircraft was slowed to 140 knots. The pilot elected to divert to Fairbanks (pafa) as a precaution. The pilot noted that there appeared to be a very slight accumulation of frost on the wings prior ot the occurrance. The aircraft was inspected at Fairbanks by aeromap and frontier flying service (ffsa) maintenance personnel. No damage was noted to the control surfaces or other aircraft components. The elevator trim tab was noted to be slightly loose but within tolerance. As a precaution the bolt attaching the trim tab to the actuator was replaced. The aircraft was returned to service and flown to aeromap's facility at pamr without incident. As a further precaution aeromap maintenance has elected to replace the elevator trim tab actuator.
