From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot's statement: at approximately 1505 dpt, I prepared to land at home base, Fallon muni (flx), Nevada. All was routine down to flareout on runway 03. Then I noted an aircraft at or near the FAR end of the runway. I was not able to see if he was coming or going so I initiated a go-around. The wind was light but squirrely and was across the runway in direction. I retracted the landing gear and started to apply power. My attention was on the other aircraft because I wasn't certain but what he was going to takeoff in my direction. My airplane mushed down to the point where the prop made contact with the surface. I didn't know this and continued the go-around for a normal pattern and landing. The damage became apparent upon engine shutdown at the hanger. The only description of the other aircraft is that it was a high wing type. It was nordo-we heard no radio calls. For the record, I made position calls beginning at 17 miles out. I didn't pursue the matter because the other pilot had done nothing illegal.
