From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 28 September 2001 at approximately 2209Z (1709 local) a B-747-4B5BOPERATED by korean airlines as flight 35 landed on dfw runway 18R with the right wing main gear retracted. After what all reports indicated was a normal approach and touchdown, the aircraft came to rest on the centerline supported by both left main gear, the nose gear, the #3 nacelle, and the right main body gear only, tilting to the right. There were no reports of smoke or fire or threat to the safety of the passengers and crew, so the passengers were kept onboard the aircraft until portable stairs arrived and all passengers were deplaned and taken via bus to terminal b. after consulting with Boeing, delta airlines contract maintenance towed the aircraft to there dfw maintenance hangar complex for troubleshooting. The flight crew reported that they experienced a #4 hydraulic system failure on downwind for dfw runway 18R. After completing the appropriate qrh procedure and turning final, they said their right main wing gear indicated unsafe. They advised ATC and initiated a go around. After two attempts to activate the alternate gear extension switch and consulting with maintenance, they reported landing without incident.
