From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) After landing at Cedar City the pilot stopped for fuel before taxiing to tie down area. In the process of trying to start the engine after refueling the battery ran down. A truck (fuel truck) was pulled up on the left front side of the plane to provide a jump start. The engine was flooded from the earlier attempts to start it. To clear the engine the throttle was advanced to the full position and inadvertently the friction lock was tightened. The engine started at full throttle and the pilot was unable to close t he throttle before the plane moved forward and hit the truck with its left wing and propeller. The parking brake was set but was unable to stop the plane's movement.
