From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(.19) On October 12, 2001, approximately 1510 pacific daylight time, a Cessna 150L, N18240, registered to and being flown by an airline transport rated pilot was substantially damaged during a loss of control and subsequent nose over while taxiing from landing at the simtag farms airport (OR32), Boardman, Oregon. No flight plan had been filed for the flight and the pilot was uninjured. Visual meteorological conditions and southwesterly winds gusting to 25 knots were reported at hermiston, Oregon, 29 nautical miles northeast. The flight, which was personal, was operated under 14 CFR 91, and originated from walla walla (S95), Washington, approximately 1430. The pilot reported that he landed at OR32 into the wind, and that he made a 180-degree trun and back-taxied down the runway towards an exit. As he was turning off the runway a gust of wind lifted one of the aircraft's wings and flipped the aircraft over damaging the vertical stabilizer. (-23) according to PIC, after landing at OR32, he made a 180 degree turn and back-taxied. As he made a right turn to parking, a very strong gust of wind caught the aircraft and swung the tail, causing the right wheel to roll onto a spill containment berm. The wind then got under the right wing and raised it. The left wing hit the ground; then the propeller, and the aircraft went over on its back. Wx was 220 degrees at 18 KTS; gust to 25 kt. Damage to vertical stabilizer and firewall.
