From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Clarksburg control tower observed that the landing gear was not extended as N3559M began a landing flare. The tower informed the crew and a go-around was initiated. Full power was applied for the climb but the aircraft sank slightly and the propeller made contact with the runway. The aircraft continued to climb and after reaching the traffic pattern altitude, the crew recycled the landing gear and determined that it was working properly. A normal approach and landing followed. After landing, an inspection revealed only minor damage to the propeller. Subsequent inspection of the landing gear system, by the maintenance facility, found it to be working properly. Incident number: IEA092002002. Submission of this report closes this incident.
