From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot reported that right landing gear unsafe light was noted after departing french valley airport. Emergency gear extension and maneuvers were attempted with no success. Pilot reported condition to sna ATCT, performed fly-by with trailing right gear confirmed by ATCT. Aircraft was operated approximately 2 hours to burn off excess fuel. Landing accomplished with right gear collapsed, minimum damage to aircraft, subsequent damage to horizontal stabilizer when contact with runway sign occurred. Aircraft inspection revealed right gear pivot shaft sheared off at sector gear. AD 2001-06-06C specifies that same area for crack inspection, AD had been complied with on this aircraft with no cracks found and Cessna kit installed. Dom will submit m or d of incident.
