From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Owner/pilot had just purchased this aircraft and was getting tail wheel instruction. Departure was normal and for the first half hour, flight maneuvers were conducted. During the first landing, touchdown and rollout were normal, when the aircraft suddenly veered to the right. The instructor jammed left rudder, but on the icy runway the aircraft slid to the right side into the hard-packed snow and turned over. The instructor said while taxiing, the right brake felt as if it were grabbing slightly, but did not feel it was a factor to prevent the flight. The aircraft has heal brakes installed and when questioned, the owner/pilot said he is not sure if he inadvertently got on the brake, but does not think so. The left wing and vertical fin received damage. There were no injuries.
