From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23)privacy data omitted while taxiing aircraft to parking area the right engine was shut down per company procedures. Prior to turning to park the aircraft, the brakes were applied with no response. The PIC attempted a right turn to clear a parked aircraft but the steering did not respond. The incident aircraft's left wing tip struck the aft underbelly of the parked aircraft. The incident aircraft rolled another 20 feet past the point of impact before coming to a stop. Although no discrepancies have been found with the aircraft at this writing, the company has revised the after landing checklist and issued a memo to all company pilots directing them to leave both engines running until parked. This investigation is closed with this report.
