From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The instructor pilot stated that the intent was to do a touch and go landing on runway 17 at Stillwater, Oklahoma. The aircraft touched down on the centerline and was rolling out when the student inadvertently raised the gear switch instead of the flap switch. The nose gear began to retract allowing the nose of the aircraft to contact the runway. The aircraft came to rest approximately 2000 feet from the north end of runway 17. On scene investigation revealed minor damage to both propellers, nose gear doors and fiberglass nose cone.
