From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Captain james shaw, pilot in command (PIC) of N4358X, taxied on the parallel taxiway for departure on runway 16 at Hanover airport, Virginia (ofp). Captain shaw taxied from the taxiway onto the approach end of runway 16, maintaining his nosewheel close to the right side of the yellow taxi line. As he entered onto the runway, the right main, then the nosewheel went off the runway into the mud, which resulted in the right propeller impacting the mud. The pilot attempted to take off from the approach end of runway 16, which had previously been closed due to construction. The new yellow center taxi line was painted in a manner that it cut the corner from the taxiway to the runway and ended on the right edge of the runway instead of the center.
