From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot states while on approach for landing at Pell City airport, tried to extend gear and it sounded as though gear came down. Did not visually verify gear down indication due to lighting conditions, and does not know if gear warning sounded. Gear was partially down and collapsed on landing with minor damage. Left and right main gear brake assemblies show damage caused by contact with runway surface. Pilot states that he did not try manual extension of landing gear, believing gear was down. After coming to a complete stop, while exiting, noticed landing gear motor circuit breaker was popped.
