From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft was inbound to jfk airport from ontario, California. The pilot was told to hold for arrival to jfk. The pilot decided to go to his alternate airport, stewart airport. Prior to arriving at stewart, the pilot was informed by controllers that jfk was now available. The pilot elected to return to jfk whereby he was once again told to hold. The pilot then declared minimum fuel and landed at Newark airport with 3100 lbs of fuel. This amount of fuel was approximately one hour's flying time fuel.
