From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Mr. Goodrich completed a mayday call on frequency 121.5 and started his emergency descent. The aircraft contacted the tops of a treeline and grass on the lower west slope of laurel park landfill before c oming to rest on the upper west slope of the landfill facing east on a magentic heading of 043 degrees. The aircraft experienced damage to its nose gear, engine mount and tail skid. There were no injuries involved in this incident. Mr. Goodrich was contacted on April 9, 2002, by telephone and admitted that he mismanaged his fuel consumption for this flight which resulted in the emergency landing of his Cessna 150.
