From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot placed gear selector down and had no gear down indication. Pilot made low pass by control tower, tower told pilot nose gear is down but not the main gear. Pilot went through emergency procedures per aircraft manual, with no success. Pilot landed runway 20 with nose gear extended and the main gear up. Aircraft slid down runway making a swiping left turn ending up in the grass along the edge of the runway. One runway light was struck by the aircraft, there was no property damage. Damage to the aircraft was minor, left horizontal stab., wing tip and the belly of the aircraft. The gear failed to fully extend due to a leak in the hydraulic system. There is evidence of hydraulic fluid all over the belly of the aircraft originating at the nose gear actuator. It appears the seal may have failed, the hoses and fitting are intact.
