From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft was enroute from pit into gso, on approach into gso when the flight crew selected the gear down for landing, upon selecting gear down the flight crew received an unsafe gear indication on the nose gear. The flight crew performed their abnormal procedures checklist and declared an emergency landing into gso. The aircraft stopped on the runway, and deplaned their passengers on the runway via stairs. Upon deplaning the flight crew inspected the nose wheel well and noted that an ink pen was lodged in the down lock pin hole. The flight crew also stated that prior to departure out of pit a ramp/ground crew training class was being conducted on their aircraft. The aircraft remained on the runway at gso until maintenance personnel could secure the nose gear enough to allow the movement off the runway.
