What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Pilot was executing touch and goes at his home seaplane landing zone at lake palestine, Texas. On third landing a gust of wind lifted the left wing causing the right sponson to dig into the water pivoting the aircraft to the right, resulting in substantial structural damage. Both wings, nose, prop, engine mount and flight control surfaces were all damaged. The right wing has approximately a 1" gap at the trailing edge between the fuselage. The prop struck the airframe and the left wing and nicked a longeron. The tail section appears to be okay.
