From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) According to the pilot's statement: 1) on approach to landing, power was reduced to idle when he felt he would reach the runway. 2) the aircraft dipped to the left and off centerline of the runway. 3) he did not initiate a go-around and steered the aircraft back to the runway. Inspection of the runway indicates that the aircraft landed short at the runway's approach end on the left side, then bounced onto the runway damaging the nose gear, left main gear, and propeller.
